Speech by Mr. Kotidis surgeon in the 8th Workshop on Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery - The surgeon Ioannina 2011 Mr. Kotidis and his team successfully communicated the results of laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of gross obesity in the 8th Scientific Meeting on Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery held Ioannina on 4-6 November 2011. Mr. Kotidis reported in the technical details to perform safely laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic gastric pleating, an operation which was first held in northern Greece in Agios Loukas Clinic. Particularly impressed the delegates extremely short postoperative hospitalization, once a day and it was excellent and postoperative weight loss of resected patients. The conclusion of his speech was that when the bariatric procedures performed by experienced and well trained team, is safe and effective.
